So it’s time for me to let go of my old camera and buy a new one.
Thanks to snapsort (was able to find this via a Techiebuzz post), I was able to shortlist 4 cameras for under $400 (this is my max limit…)
Since I already have a nice camcorder, I am just looking for a camera to take pictures; the movie recording does’nt matter.
I am not a big camera guru, so I have just listed few basic pros and cons.
Here’s my list
Nikon Coolpix P100
Pros:
- nice zoom 26x ♥
- continuous shooting 10 fsp (just a cool thing that might come in handy)
Cons:
- 10 MP
- Bit costly around $329
Canon PowerShot SX30 IS
Pros:
- Awesome zoom 35x ♥
- Flip out screen (good to take self pictures)
- 14MP ♥
Cons:
- continuous shooting only 1.1 fsp 😦
- Very costly around $399 😦
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5
Pros:
- continuous shooting 10 fsp
- Has a GPS (but not sure how much I will use this)
- Bit cheaper around $299
Cons:
- 10 MP
- No flip out screen
Nikon Coolpix S8100
Pros:
- 12 MP 🙂
- continuous shooting 10 fsp
- Bit cheaper around $299
Cons:
- No flip out screen
- Not sure how popular this is since it has been launched not long ago
So all you camera pros out there, please comment and help me choose a winner or let me know if there is a more better option out there.
